Championship side Leicester City are closing in on a deal for Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi as they look to replace Cesare Casadei. The Foxes had agreed a season-long loan for Casadei, but the Blue’s have opted to recall him to Stamford Bridge for the second part of the campaign.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Leicester City want a suitable replacement for the centre of the pitch, and have set their sights on Sensi. The 28-year-old arrived at Inter with lots of promise but failed to secure a permanent place in the starting XI, spending the last two seasons on loan with Sampdoria and Monza.
Romano claims that the deal is advancing and will likely be a permanent transfer, rather than a loan, with talks progressing quickly.
Sensi spent four seasons with the Nerazzurri in total, scoring four goals in 56 appearances across all competitions.
