Atalanta midfielder Ederson has emerged as a new target for Juventus as they look to reinforce their midfield in January. The Bianconeri have been without Paul Pogba for amost the entirety of the season, while Nicolo Fagioli is suspended until summer, leaving them light in the centre of the pitch.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus want to ‘give coach Massimiliano Allegri an important reinforcement in midfield this market session’.
The Bianconeri’s big target is reportedly Atalanta’s Ederson, with Di Marzio suggesting that the Juventus coach is ‘crazy’ about the Brazilian midfielder, who was one of the best players on the pitch in La Dea’s victory against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.
Juve have already been linked with Lazar Samardzic (for whom there remains a double possibility of either January or the summer) but Di Marzio claims that Juventus will try to start negotiations with Atalanta for Ederson soon.
Despite the interest, the suggestion is that Atalanta do not intend to deprive themselves of the player now and will resist all offers, as with teammate Teun Koopmeiners.
