Former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci is close leaving Union berlin in order to complete a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce. Reports from Germany and Italy suggest the move is close to going through, with the former Azzurri international reportedly keen on the switch in order to play more frequently.
German journalist Dominik Schneider reports that Bonucci has already said goodbye to his Union Berlin teammates and a medical has been scheduled.
Bonucci is expected to leave Germany tomorrow in order to fly to Turkey and complete his Fenerbahce medical, ahead of the free transfer.
The 36-year-old is expected to sign a contract until the end of the season, with the Turkish side firmly in the title race against long standing rivals Galatasaray.
