Juventus have initiated contacts with the representatives of the Polish international as the Bianconeri seek to extend the contract of primary shot-stopper Wojciech Szczęsny.
TuttomercatoWeb reports that as it stands, the 33-year-old’s contract at €6.5m per-season is set to expire in the summer of 2025. As a result, the Bianconeri plan to offer an extension of an additional year, but reduce his wages to €4.5m.
If the veteran custodian ultimately decides to continue playing for Juventus, then it is expected that both parties will come to middle ground in negotiations and reach an agreement around the region of €5m per-season.
However, the interest from other clubs may interfere with Juventus’ plans to extend Szczęsny’s stay at the Allianz stadium beyond the summer of 2025.
Several Saudi outfits, as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, are keen on the idea of purchasing the services of the long-serving Juventus keeper in between the sticks next summer.
