Premier League side Chelsea have reportedly set their asking price for on-loan Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. The 30-year-old has spent the season on loan with Roma, but there’s been no discussion about his future beyond June 2024, when he’s expected to return to Stamford Bridge.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Giallorossi will only be able to afford to buy Lukaku if they make it into the top four this season and guarantee qualification for next seasons Champions League campaign.
Chelsea are reportedly asking for €42m next summer for the Belgian international, while interest in him has grown from the Saudi pro League, with Al-Hilal ready to offer ‘Big Rom’ a €30m-a-year contract if he makes the move to the Middle East.
Lukaku has scored 12 goals in 19 appearances so far this campaign and Roma are reportedly giving serious consideration to signing him outright when his loan spell ends.
