Dionisi: “Mourinho? Fortunately I believe in fair-play unlike others….”

Start

Sassuolo boss Alessio Dionisi took aim at Roma, following their 2-1 loss to the Giallorossi: “Fortunately I believe in fair-play unlike others….”. The Neroverdi took an early lead through Matheus Henrique but a red card to Daniel Boloca changed the match, with Roma completing a comeback through Paulo Dybala and Rasmus Kristensen. Speaking with DAZN after the match, Dionisi was critical of their opponents, taking aim at Mourinho in particular:

“The game changed when there were ten of us left, then they scored on a penalty, which was questionable, and then they won with an own goal.”

“We were unlucky in the incidents, the red card was right. But it’s still shame. The feeling is that we would never have conceded the goal. We would have never lost had we concluded the game with 11 men on the pitch.”

“Mourinho? Fortunately I believe in fair-play unlike others, and I don’t talk about other teams and their players. I maintain that no one should allow themselves to talk about other team’s players. Then I would like to remind you that we are nineteenth for fouls committed in Serie A, so if there is a team that has fair play it is us, unlike our opponents tonight who are one of the most aggressive sides in the league.”
