Inter have confirmed that club CEO Beppe Marotta has extended his contract with the club until 2027. The news of the renewal was announced during the board meeting which took place earlier today at the Viale della Liberazione headquarters, with Steven Zhang connected via video conference.
The Nerazzurri management have decided to hold on to the former Sampdoria and Juventus manager, who arrived in the Nerazzurri in December 2018.
Marotta has won five trophies with the Nerazzurri to date and also presided over the most lucrative sale in the club’s history, selling Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for €115 million.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the next to renew should be sporting director Pero Ausilio and his right-hand man Dario Baccin.
During the board meeting, meanwhile, the first quarterly report of the 2023-24 season (July-September) was approved. The group’s turnover is up by around €60 million (+36%) compared to the same period in 2022-23.
