PSG in the lead for Renato Sanches

Start

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly hijacked Milan’s move for Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches. The 24-year-old was thought to be very close to making the move to Milan this summer after the two parties agreed personal terms earlier in the year.

L’Equipe and a number of other outlets reports that while nothing is completed yet, PSG have made contact with Lille over a move for Sanches.

Transfer journalist Matteo Moretto expands on the news, suggesting that Milan and the player have agreed terms, however the Rossoneri have offered €15m while Lille are aiming for €20m.

He also reports that for now, the deal is on standby as PSG have made contact with the players entourage and will make an official offer soon.

PSG are close to appointing Nice coach Christophe Galtier as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement and will wait until the appointment has taken place before moving for Sanches.

Sanches has a close relationship with both Galtier and new PSG sporting director Lucas Campos and that is thought to factor into the move.
