Roma striker Tammy Abraham has returned to light training with his team, but is still some time away from returning to the pitch. Abraham suffered a knee injury in the Giallorossi’s penultimate game of the 2022-23 Serie A season against Spezia, later being diagnosed as a cruciate ligament tear.
The estimated recovery time was expected to be around four months, but having completed surgery, his spell on the sidelines is expected to take him into the new year.
Il Corriere dello Sport now report that Abraham has returned to light training in his rehabilitation schedule, working with the rest of the team for short periods.
At a conservative estimate, the Rome based newspaper suggest the England striker is expected to return in January or February 2024.
