Zielinski: ‘Saudi Arabia? It’s not time to think about money yet.’

Start

Piotr Zielinski confirmed that there were talks over a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, but he preferred  to remain with Napoli. The Polish international has seven months left on his existing contract with the Partenopei and has already attracted the interest of Juventus and Inter Milan ahead of the January transfer window.

Speaking with TVP Sport, Zielinski confirmed that he’s now in talks with Napoli over a new contract but refused to rule out a move to Saudi Arabia one day:

“Negotiations (with Napoli, ed.) are ongoing. As I said, my agent is in charge of all that. I certainly don’t rule out the possibility of a contract extension, but I think everyone will find out in due course and I’m now focused on giving my all with the Napoli shirt, as I have done so far.”

“Close to Saudi in the summer? That’s true, but I decided to try to achieve something more here in Europe, like playing in the Champions League. And I decided it wasn’t time to chase money yet. I’m not complaining. Money is not everything. I know that maybe in the future there will be such a good offer and I will take advantage of it, but for now I decided it would be better to continue my career in Europe.”
