Juventus youngster Matias Soule is expected to handed a new contract with the club while also getting an international call up in the coming weeks. The 20-year-old forward is eligible to play for both Argentina and Italy due to his citizenship, but has yet to be called up to either squad.
Reports from Italy had suggested that Azzurri coach Luciano Spalletti was hoping to still convince the youngster to commit to playing for Italy, but Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni is expected to name him in his preliminary squad list for the upcoming international break. Soule earned his first call-up to the Argentina senior side in 2021 but didn’t make the final matchday squads.
The young talent is also expected to be handed a contract renewal by Juventus, following his impressive displays for Frosinone this season, having scored 5 goals in 8 appearances so far this campaign.
Tuttosport and others report that talks have already begun with Soule over a new deal, with the Bianconeri hoping to agree an extension until 2028, with an increase to his current salary.
