Exor president John Elkann believes it’s year zero at Juventus while Paul Pogba’s recent positive steroid test is a ‘great disappointment.’ The Juve patron was speaking at the side-lines of the inauguration of the CERN Science Gateway in Geneva, and talked about the recent capital increase for the Bianconeri, as well as Pogba’s unfortunate situation:
“Pogba? Humanly it is a great disappointment. He is certainly a player who was one of the greatest potential talents that football has had in this period.”
“This is year zero because it is the year in which Juventus restarts on a more real basis. The work that is underway and the solidity that this capital increase gives allows Juventus to plan a strong future on the pitch and also out”.
“The derby against Torino? I will be there. The derby is a match which, as those from Turin know, is always very special and difficult . It is very important for Juventus to be concentrated on all the matches they have in the league and in the Italian Cup since it is not in Europe.
“We must be able to play them to the best of our potential. It is an open championship, you can see it . And this makes it even more interesting.”
