Inter CEO Beppe Marotta says the club’s aim is win the Scudetto and add a second star to their shirts. The Nerazurri boss was speaking to Radio Anch’Io Sport on Radio1 and touched on a number of subjects related to the club, including former player Romelu Lukau who ended up at Roma this summer:
“Life is made of dreams and reality: the reality is that we want to win the Scudetto to put the second star on the jersey, Europe is a dream that almost came true last year. On our part, however, there is an obligation to give our best for all goals.”
“Arnautovic? We are sorry for the injury to Marko, who had fitted in well, but I am confident that Inzaghi will be finding the right solutions.”
“Referee’s? The current refereeing class is respectable, considering the European and world context. It is a rejuvenated staff, but I see good referees and that it is also respected by international bodies. Today football is increasingly scientific and technical, we have tools that reduce the subjective participation of the referee on the field. It is normal that there is criticism, even harsh criticism, but these decisions should still be made for the good of soccer even if slowly.”
“Today Inter is Inzaghi’s team, he is the real leader and the players follow his directions.”
“Dimarco? He shows a great sense of belonging to the club, we are very happy and proud of him. He is continuously growing, he is still very young and we will meet soon to talk with him about a contract extension.”
“We were hurt because there was a warm relationship, but we were good at finding alternatives. It is now part of the past, the world of football is now strange and we have to adapt to what has happened. Inter continues to move forward.”
