Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca is expected to be out of action for at least one month after picking up a thigh injury. The 24-year-old suffered the injury during Atalanta’s 3-2 loss against Fiorentina on Sunday and had to be subbed off on the hour mark.
Sky Sport Italia now report that Scamacca has suffered a first-degree injury in his left thigh and will likely miss at least one month of action.
It’ll mean that the striker is out for at least four of La Dea’s Serie A matches and will likely the two opening rounds of the Europa League.
It’s highly possible that Scamacca will not be called up to the Azzurri squad for the next batch of international matches in October.
