Dybala: ‘A poor start? I’ve been in worse situations….’

Start

Roma forward Paulo Dybala believes the club haven’t started well this season, but he’s been in worse situations in his career. The Giallorossi have failed to win a single match so far this season, drawing their opening match against Salernitana, before losing to Verona and Milan on the bounce. Some have pointed to the many changes to the squad and the injury to Tammy Abraham, but Dybala insists they will have time to make up points as the season goes along:

“It will be a very long season with many matches. I hope to arrive in March with the possibility of competing for all the competitions we have. That is our goal, we have a strong team. Important players have arrived and I think we have to continue and improve on the way we did last year.”

“The spirit has to be this, to always give something extra, both in training and during the games. We didn’t start well but I’ve been in worse situations and then things went well. I hope they can go that way this time too.”

“The fans? Thank you on behalf of myself and the team for the support every year. It’s fundamental for us. After such an important year for me, to have received all this affection was an incredible support because I didn’t expect it. I have tried throughout the year to give you something back of all that you have given me. It was close to a celebration but it was an incredible year for me in every sense.”
