Bologna have confirmed the loan signing of Leicester City defender with an option to sign outright. A statement on the clubs website announced the signing earlier today:
Bologna Fc 1909 announces that they have acquired from Leicester City Fc the right to the sports performance of defender Victor Kristiansen on a temporary basis until 30 June 2024 with an option for permanent acquisition.
The sixth Danish player in the club’s history, Victor is a left-back born in 2002 with great physical impact and a remarkable run. One of the best ever products of Kobenhavn’s youth sector, he stands out for his attacking ability, loves to get to the back for crosses as well as coming into the box, is particularly generous and possesses an uncommon personality on his wing. After winning the Superligaen title in 2022, he made his debut in the Champions League, attracting the attentions of numerous European teams. He moved to the Premier League last January to Leicester for a record fee, making him the most expensive Danish footballer of all time, and his early approaches to England earned him immediate applause and approval, such as in the wide win over Tottenham in which Kristiansen was the best player on the pitch. In the meantime, after the entire trajectory of the youth national teams, he made his debut two months ago with Denmark’s senior team in a draw in Slovenia.
