Landucci: ‘We accept the referees decision’

Juventus assistant manager Marco Landucci spoke with the press after Juve’s 1-1 draw with Bologna, explaining that Max Allegri was unwell. It was a controversial draw in Turin, with Bologna and the Bianconeri both having calls for penalties denied, something Landucci touched on in the post-match interview with DAZN:

“Allegri unwell? Yes, he wants me to show my face a bit more (laughs ed.). He’s not here because he’s had a little illness, but nothing serious”.

“It was a match with two faces. We told the team that we played a great second half. Maybe we were a bit affected by the first home game and we wanted to overdo it. It’s a shame about Dusan’s goal in the 51st minute, which was very important. But in the second half we moved much better”.

“We took risks because we tried to win it. We took risks and we knew it. Sometimes it’s not good, sometimes it’s good. Going forward it’s a good point and we’re also doing a lot of workloads. Pogba? Paul came in well, he played  some good balls”.

“The supposed penalty for Bologna? I do like Thiago Motta and I don’t comment, neither for nor against. We accept the referee’s decision and move on”.

“A problem in the centre of the pitch? We moved the ball quickly. They were marking us man-to-man and we were too central, but we had to widen the field.”

“Vlahovic? He played a great game, he moved well. Then when a striker scores goals he is less frantic and more proactive. I would also like to stress that Dusan was also much better physically this week, you know that last year and also at the beginning of this year he had the pubalgia problem”.
