New contacts between Roma and Santos for Marcos Leonardo

Start

Roma are continuing to work to bring Marcos Leonardo to the club this summer and have been in contact with Santos again to arrange a deal. The Giallorossi are very keen on the 20-year-old but have failed to agree terms with Santos for his transfer, resulting in a stalemate between the two clubs on his valuation.

Sky Sport Italia report that there were ‘new communications’ to establish the conditions of the Brazilians who want €20 million or a lower amount while making him leave in January. Something that Roma are not interested in: the club has taken a couple of days to figure out what kind of offer to formulate and especially whether to raise their bid.

Other options for their attack also remain open, such as Dusan Zapata, however Atalanta’s conditions have changed: the Bergamaschi want to sell the player outright for €5 million plus €5 million in easy bonuses. Roma are also reflecting on PSG’s Hugo Ekitike, whom they are evaluating. As in the case of Marcos Leonardo, the club is taking a few days to figure out what to do.
