Reports from Italy suggest that Chelsea are not interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic while Juve are not prepared to budge on their valuation. The two clubs have reportedly been in talks over a swap deal that would see the Serbian international move to Stamford Bridge in exchange for Romelu Lukaku and €40 million.
Sky Sport Italia now report that Chelsea have withdrawn their interest in Vlahovic and have no intention of doing a deal with Juve. The suggestion is that Chelsea believe Juve’s valuation of the player is too high, and they have informed the Bianconeri, via their representatives, that they will not be pursuing the player exchange idea.
The Blues believe Lukaku plus €20m and €5m in bonuses is closer to the real valuation, but Juventus are sticking to their guns and their €40 million valuation.
Vlahovic still has suitors in both France and Germany, as PSG and Bayern Munich have been linked with the 23-year-old in their pursuit of a new striker.
