Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli admits that he needs to do more to help the team next season. The Bianconeri had a torrid 2022-23 campaign, marred by off-the-pitch issues which included a points deduction. Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, Locatelli explained why he feels a sense of responsibility to give more to the squad and why exclusion from European football next season will allow them to focus on Serie A:
“I think the most important thing is to get back to having more enthusiasm and stay united as a group. Me too.
“I personally know I have to do more and I think I have to give a lot. The exclusion from the Conference League has brought us some regret, but now we can concentrate fully on the league.”
“The EURO’s? Playing for the national team is a goal, I want to go to the European Championship to play for it and Juve must be the way forward for me to succeed”.
“Weah? Timothy really flies , when he runs he’s very fast. He integrated well right away also because he listens; when you’re young and you come to a club like this you have to be good at listening to those who have been here the longest. We will have to be good at transmitting Juve’s values to them.”
