New Milan signing Noah Okafor believes the club have assembled a great team that he hopes can win Serie A this season. The Swiss international completed a move to the Rossoneri last week, the latest in a long list of additions this summer. Speaking with Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old explained why he chose Milan over other clubs and revealed his friendship with fellow teammate Rafael Leao:
“I finally signed. I’m really happy to be here. They wanted me so much: we kept in touch after playing there. I like the stadium, the fans and everything. Milan is a great club with a great history.
“Many stars have been part of it. Taking a step forward is the best way to grow and there are great players here.”
“Friendship with Leao? We spoke a bit in Switzerland, Portugal and also when we met with Milan. I established a good relationship with him and we became friends.”
“Goals? If a player doesn’t want to win, he’s not a player. There’s a chance he’ll lose a few games but the goal is always to win. This year I think we have a great team and I hope I can win Serie A.”
