Manchester United to sign Rasmus Hojlund

Start

Reports from Italy suggest Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund will be joining Manchester United, after they upped their offer to €70m plus €5m in add-ons. The two sides have been in talks over a prospective move for the Danish striker, but Ligue 1 champions PSG recently made their own €50 million bid to La Dea.

Sky Sport Italia transfer journalist Luca Cilli now reports that United are on the verge of securing Hojlund after making an offer of €70m plus €5m in add-ons. The bid is expected to be formally presented to Atalanta in the coming hours, meeting their valuation for the player.

PSG’s rival bid isn’t expected to be adjusted, while the player is also reportedly keen on moving to the Premier League, paving the way for United to secure their top attacking target for the summer.

Sportitalia’s Alfredo Pedulla claims United have only bid €62 million plus an additional €5 million in add-ons, but suggests that the two clubs are working to find an agreement, meaning a move is inevitable.

Atalanta have already signed Hojlund’s potential replacement in El-Bilal Toure, with the Malian striker having completed his medical with the club earlier today.
