Juventus are Barcelona are both interested in signing Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer. The 30-year-old is out of contract with the Partenopei next summer and talks over an extension have yet to take place.
Tuttosport report that Juve are looking for a replacement for club captain Giorgio Chiellini who is set to join LAFC in the coming weeks.
Among the names the Bianconeri are linked with are Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who would seem a better fit, given that he is a left-sided centre-back, however Arsenal would ask for at least €45 million.
With Koulibaly’s future at Napoli considered ‘in the balance’, Juve could look to the Senegalese internatinonal instead, given that he has experience of the league and would be available for less that Gabriel.
Tuttosport suggest that Koulibaly is unlikely to extend his deal with Napoli, especially as the club president Aurelio De Laurentiis may ask him to cut his current wages of €6 million with a view to spreading his salary over an agreement until 2025.
