Inter Ultras: ‘Lukaku is a vile mercenary’

Start

Inter ultras have taken aim at former striker Romelu Lukaku, calling him a ‘vile mercenary’ after links with Juventus and Al-Hilal emerged. The Belgian international was pushing to return to the Nerazzurri next season after his loan spell ended and Chelsea confirmed he was leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.

The two clubs were in talks to try and come to an agreement for Lukaku, but reports since emerged that he had reached an agreement with Juventus and had stopping taking calls from Inter management.

The Inter Ultras have now posted a statement on Instagram, insulting the 30-year-old for his behaviour:

“Those who betrayed you once will return to do so, not because they enjoy it, but because that is part of their character.

“That’s right, because you Romelu betrayed all of us, who defended you to the hilt during your bad period. We defended you when the fans of the team that sought you out mocked you, now you repay us with a stabbing worthy of the best Brutus.

“You kissed that badge that is worth more to us than our lives, and now like a vile cheap mercenary you sell yourself to the highest bidder.

“Before being a champion one must be a man, and you ARE NOT. Goodbye villain.”
