Juventus and Empoli in talks over Baldanzi and Ranocchia

Start

Juventus and Empoli are in transfer talks regarding youngsters Filippo Ranocchia and Tommaso Baldanzi. According to reports from Italy, the Bianconeri are set to loan Ranocchia to the Azzurri for the new season, with his contract including a buy option set at €5,5 million.

Meanwhile, Juve are reportedly interested in youngster Baldanzi, who has only recently broken into the Empoli first team. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder made 27 appearances last season, scoring four goals, prompting attention from Serie A’s big clubs.

New Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was tracking Baldanzi’s progress when he was still at Napoli, and is reportedly very keen for Juve to sign the prospect.

According to Tuttosport , Juventus were hopeful of including Ranocchia in a potential swap deal, but Empoli want €15 million for Baldanzi.
