Manchester United closing in on Onana deal

Start

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with  goalkeeper Andre Onana, and a deal Inter is close to being finalised. Talks between the two sides have continued at length, with the Nerazzurri rejecting opening bids that were below their €50 million valuation of the player.

La Gazzetta dello Sport and others now report that a deal is very close, with the keeper already looking for a “comfortable apartment in Manchester” to reach Trafford Training Center in Carrington.

A third and definitive bid, which is expected to break the €50 million barrier,  is arriving in the coming days after which an official announcement will come on “Tuesday or Wednesday”.

The report outlines that United met with Onana’s entourage recently and finally decided to bid more to secure the target quickly.

United coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly driving the bid to sign  Onana, who he worked with previously at Ajax. The manager wants him for the start of pre-season so he can get familiar with his new teammates and surroundings before the season begins.
