Milan preparing new contract for Fikayo Tomori

Start

AC Milan are preparing a new contract for defender Fikayo Tomori as a reward for his role in their Scudetto success. The 24-year-old was pivotal in the Rossoneri’s final push to secure the title, forming a formidable partnership with Pierre Kalulu.

The Telegraph report that while Tomori still has three years remaining on his existing Milan contract, the club have been so impressed by him, that they want to reward him with an extension and make him ‘a pillar of their squad moving forward.’

Speaking about his time in Milan, Tomori told The Athletic:

“Once I came to Milan, I wanted to be here, I saw how motivated the team was, how motivated the coach was. When I came it was Covid, so fans couldn’t come into the stadiums, but I could still feel the San Siro, the fans. Ever since I’ve been here, from the first minute, it’s been amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, and to finish the season with something like the Scudetto is indescribable.”

Milan manager Stefano Pioli and club director Paolo Maldini are both big fans of the youngster who has quickly adapted to life in Milan and is now fluent in Italian.
