Former defender Andrea Barzagli believes Max Allegri’s refusal to move to Saudi Arabia shows how much he wants to remain with Juventus. Allegri was reportedly approached by Al-Hilal earlier this month with a staggering offer of €60 million for a three-year contract to coach the club. Despite the eye-watering proposal, the Livorno tactician rejected the deal in favour of remaining in Turin, something Barzagli pointed to when speaking with La Repubblica about his former club:
“The market is starting to take shape now, we will have to see who will arrive and who will leave. However, it is a great signal to see the renewal of Rabiot, a modern midfielder with a great engine and great quality, which at the beginning few understood.
“Allegri’s refusal to go to Saudi Arabia? This decision for me shows how much conviction he has to stay at Juventus and with what intentions a proud man like him wants to start again.”
