Roma in advanced talks for Rasmus Kristensen

Start

Roma have identified defender Rasmus Kristensen as a target this summer and are already in advanced talks with Leeds United for the player. The Giallorossi are moving quickly in the transfer market this summer, having already deals for free agents Houssem Aouar and Evan N’Dicka in recent weeks. The club need to make €30 million in sales before the June 30 deadline to comply with Financial Fair Play, and are hard work securing player sales.

Despite the focus on outgoings, Sky Sport Italia report that Kristensen has been identified as a key target, and the club have already ‘booked’ his transfer.

For his part, the player has already agreed to a transfer to Rome this summer, having shown ‘willingness’ to make the switch to Serie A.

Sky report that Roma initiated contacts as early as last season to secure the player, sounding out Salzburg (where Kristensen played at the time) to bring the Danish defender to Jose Mourinho’s team. The Austrian club’s demand, however, was €15 million, which was deemed too high by the Giallorossi, who turned to Zeki Celik.

Roma are now set to secure the 25-year-old on a season long loan with the option to sign him outright next summer.
