Roma will appeal UEFA’s decision to ban coach Jose Mourinho following an an incident with referee Anthony Taylor after the Europa League final. The Special One was charged by UEFA after footage emerged of him insulting the English ref for his performance for the final which was held in Budapest.
UEFA announced that they have banned Mourinho for four European matches for his confrontation with Taylor, while Roma have been fined €55,000 and the away sector will be suspended for the next Europa League match.
The Giallorossi will also have to cover the costs of any damage caused by the travelling fans in the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
Il Tempo report that Roma were shocked by the verdict and the club have immediately begun proceedings to file an appeal in the next few days.
