Milan v PSG for Marcus Thuram

Start

Milan will reportedly go up against Ligue 1 champions PSG in a bid to sign striker Marcus Thuram, who is available as a free agent this summer. The Rossoneri have made signing a new striker a priority in the transfer window and are eyeing a number of options.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Milan want 25-year-old Frenchman Thuram, and have already talked to the players agent to present an offer. The biggest obstacle in their path is stiff competition from PSG, who can offer a higher salary and more lucrative terms.

The Rossoneri have reportedly presented a deal worth €5-5.5m net per season, an offer that is thought to be significantly less than PSG’s. A potential difference-maker could be Stefano Pioli, who has told Thuram he will give him a central role in the clubs project.

The Italian coach has reportedly spoken with Thuram in an effort to convince him to make the move to Milan, but the young striker is also expected to speak with PSG in the coming days.
