Milan have a strong interest in Luka Romero

Start

Milan have a strong interest in Argentine striker Luka Romero, who is set to leave Lazio for free this summer. The 18-year-old talent has a deal with the Laziale until June 30 and while talks were ongoing over a new three-year contract, an agreement was never reached, despite Romero making it into the first team and scoring his first goal.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Rossoneri are very in interested Romero,  but they may face competition from some Spanish clubs who are also following the youngster.

Romero had initially arrived in Italy on a free transfer from Mallorca and went on to score 1 goal in 12 total appearances under Sarri’s orders, making him the first Serie A player born in 2004 to score a goal.

He also featured at U20 World Cup with Argentina coached by Javier Mascherano, when he scored 2 goals in 4 appearances. The player has already been summoned by Lionel Scaloni to the senior national team.
