Lukaku to reject Al-Hilal offer, talks start on Inter move

Start

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is set to reject a deal worth up to £20m a season by Al-Hilal in favour of a move to Inter. The 30-year-old spent the season on loan with the Nerazzurri, and while the first part of the campaign was mired by injury and poor form, the former Manchester United striker came could in the closing weeks of the season.

The Guardian report that Lukaku is understood to have met officials from Al-Hilal in Paris on Monday to discuss a potential move to the Saudi Pro League. Despite the lucrative offer, reports from Italy suggest that the Belgium striker is thought to prefer a return to Inter at this stage.

Inter management are expected in London this week to discuss a potential move for the Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana and a potential loan deal for Lukaku, who they sold to Chelsea in 2021 for £100m, with Kalidou Koulibaly also on their wishlist.
