Roma pushing for Scamacca: Player open to move

Start

Roma are pushing to sign West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, with the player reportedly keen on a potential switch. The  24-year-old made a big-money move to the Premier League last season but has struggled for form since, making just a handful of appearances through the 2022-23 campaign.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma’s Sporting Director Tiago Pinto will be in London before the weekend and will meet with Scamacca’s agents and West Ham next week.

The player is open to the move in order to return to Roma, the club where he played a large part of his youth career before moving to PSV. The Giallorossi are reportedly ahead of Milan in the race to bring Scamacca back to Italy.

Scamacca scored 8 goals in 27 appearances with West Ham last season, missing multiple games because of a knee operation.
