The agent of Paulo Sousa says there have been no official proposal from Napoli regarding the vacant head coaching role. The Salernitana boss has been heavily linked with the Partenopei bench following Luciano Spalletti’s departure at the end of last season.
Speaking with Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, agent Hugo Cajuda confirmed that for the moment, there had been no official offers for Sousa, but didn’t deny the link s:
“Paulo has repeatedly shown his happiness for everything he has found and experienced at Salernitana. A very strong bond has been created between the players, the staff and the entire city.
“The daily relationship with the sporting director and all his staff is one of great esteem and admiration, and one thing is certain, if one day I receive some official offer to be the coach from another team, out of respect and consideration, the first people to be informed will be the director Morgan De Sanctis and President Iervolino.”
“I have received many requests from other clubs for Paulo in recent weeks and from different countries. This is a normal thing when a job comes up with the quality he has shown, but I have not received any official offer from any club, so there is nothing to communicate or comment.
“The coach in these months has dedicated every hour of every day to his work with extreme dedication, so now he is enjoying his well-deserved vacation.”
