Roma are in talks with Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans who is available on a free transfer this summer. With the Foxes relegation confirmed, a number of key players will be leaving the Championship side, not least the Belgian international, who has long been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Giallorossi are planning for the next season and are closing in on deals for both Houssem Aouar and Evan N’Dicka, both on free transfers.
The next on the list could be Tielemans, with Di Marzio reporting that the club are in ‘concrete talks’ with the player over a move to the Stadio Olimpico.
For the moment, the player is likely to see what offers he can garner from the Premier League, given that English sides will be able to offer a significantly higher salary.
Roma’s next priority is to conclude some outgoing transfers, including Carles Pérez and Justin Kluivert. The Giallorossi has an existing settlement agreement with UEFA which means that by June 30, they will have to make €30 million in capital gains to stay within the required parameters.
