Napoli midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has informed the club that he is looking to return to Spurs when his loan spell ends. The Frenchman spent a season-long loan in Naples, helping the Partenopei to a historic Serie A title, making 40 appearances and scoring two goals along the way.
Footmercato now report that despite impressing in Italy, Ndomble wants to make the move back to Tottenham as he wants to restart his career in England.
The 26-year-old joined the North London side in 2019 in a club-record deal worth €62 million, but failed to settle under a number of coaches and spent the last two seasons on loan at Napoli and Lyon.
Footmercato suggest that the player has an attachment to Napoli, having been embraced by the club and their fans, but feels that a move back to England would improve his chances of making it back into the French national team.
